Reminiscing on the good ol days

Ja, so over the last couple of days, I have been playing street fighter 2 champions edition on my PSP. Kak lekker!! But made me think about the good ol days when a bra used to take 1,5 coke borrels in to the shop for the return mos.

I remember getting around 90 cents – that’s 4 games n a bubblegum! LMIMM!!!

Games mos back in the day used to cost 2bop, or commonly known as 20 cents. They used to be big and silver, and most of them were smooth already, from the in and out of the winkel games’ slots!!

The best game ever, the game that used to make the ouense que menee, was Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition!

Obviously, this was before Mortal Kombat came out…

I remember, in Athlone where I grew up, there was this shop that I used to go and skiet games (that’s what we used to call it – playing games). I called the shop, THE POEP SHOP!!!

Yous are laughing now, but that shop always smelled like hol menee! You can ask anyone that used to go skiet games there! Vuil, vrot eies n what what! I still don’t know how mense used to go and buy their loaf of bread n milk everyday at that shop.

LOL!!!

But the best part of skieting games was when someone ‘clocks’ the game and slats a lekker high score… and the next bra thats about to play, switches the machine off and on at the plug! BWAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!

Erases the previous bra’s score mos man! But you HAD to do it when the bubbie wasn’t watching!! :D
